How To Make Tandoori Turkey Sliders with mint burger sauce

Makes 8 – 10 portions

For the Turkey Sliders

500g Turkey mince

1 small onion

1 tbsp Garam masala powder

1 tsp Chilli powder

2 tsp Smoked Paprika

1 tsp Cumin seeds

2 tsp Ginger, finely chopped

2 tsp Garlic, finely chopped

2 tbs Chopped coriander

Salt and pepper, to taste

Vegetable oil, for cooking

Make The Turkey Sliders

12 x Baby burger baps

Baby lettuce leaves

Sliced tomato

Sliced red onion

2 tbsp Mango chutney & 2 tbsp Cranberry Sauce, mixed together thoroughly.

STEP 1

In a blender blitz the onion into a paste. Use a large mixing bowl pour the onion paste in and add the lean protein of your choice - minced turkey or chicken alternative, garam masala, chilli powder, smoked paprika, cumin seeds, ginger, garlic, coriander and salt and pepper.

STEP 2

Mix all the ingredients thoroughly making sure all the spices are evenly distributed through the mix. Shape the mixture in small round balls, then flatten them with your palm to create little burger patties.

STEP 3

Using a frying pan, heat to a medium high heat and slick the pan with a little vegetable oil. Once hot slide in the patties and cook for 3-4 minutes on each side and fully cooked through until golden brown.

STEP 4

Take the bottom half of a baby burger bun and spread some of the Mango & Cranberry sauce combo on it. Place a Tandoori Turkey burger on it, followed by a piece of lettuce a round of onion and a tomato slice. Finish it off with the top of the bun, repeat until you have a platter full of them!

Serve and devour the Turkey Sliders!
