Great Indian Food Feast, Thursday 20th November, 7pm

On Thursday 20th November, my pop up restaurant, The Great Indian Food Feast hitches up at the stylish all-day dining restaurant, Lanes of London in Mayfair. This is to celebrate his residency as Lanes of London’s current Food Hero – a regularly rotating guest menu item on the Lanes of London menu which aims to champion the most exciting trends and traders from around the capital.

In one night we’ll spin diners around the Indian sub-continent past and present with a gastronomic adventure. Across four courses guests will be transported into the urban hustle of Mumbai, then paddle down the Malabar Coast and into the epicurean history of the British Raj tasting dishes with a heritage spanning a century.

Begining with a Punjabi Lassi amuse-bouche, followed by a tiffin starter of Paneer Pakora (India’s national cheese dipped in a crispy tempura), and Lamb Shami Kebabs (minced lamb kebabs, created for Mughal Princes), with Kachumber Salad and Tamarind Chutney. The main is inspired by dishes dating back to the British Raj including Dak Bungalow Chicken Curry (rustled up for Army officers in rest houses), Pindi Chole(chickpea recipe from the heart of the Punjab), Kitchri (the inspiration behind kedgeree) with pickles and butter naan. Pistachio kulfi and spicy pineapple will round off the pudding course.

The journey will be oiled by the Gin Hero for the night, combining King of Soho gin, lime, fresh mango and cardamom puree with a dash of grapefruit bitters.

Tickets will cost £30 each buy them HERE
